|Born in a family of musical stalwarts and exponents of Indian Classical Vocal (Singing) Music, Subhasish Bhawal is one of the most promising artistes in the field of Indian Classical Vocal Music. Growing up in an environment of music Subhasishâ€™s childhood witnessed the profound influence of music and he received his first music lessons in tabla from his father Shree Sunil Chandra Bhawal. Young Subhasish then went on to receive his first vocal lessons from Sangeetacharjya Pandit Amaresh Chandra Chaudhury, disciple of Ustad Dabir Khan Sahab of Senia Gharan (Style). After Pandit Chaudhuryâ€™s demise Subhasish received his talim (lessons) from his son Pandit Sa,aresh Chawdhury, an eminent vocalist and disciple of legendary Sitar Maestro Late Pandit Ravi Shankar.He also sought his musical training under the guidance of the countryâ€™s most eminent â€˜Vaageyakaraâ€™ and vocalist Late - Pandit Ramashreya Jha (ramrang).His mesmerizing journey continued and he thereafter received some of the most treasured lessons in vocal music from none other than the legendary vocalist,Padmashree Pandit Ulhas Kashalkar of Agra Gwalior and Jaipur Gharana (Style) in his days as a student in I.T.C. Sangeet Research Academy.He worked as a judge of Mohan Rang Mahotsav an International Music Contest and did workshop at Chaulkhowa Sangeet Mahavidyalaya in Dibrugarh, Assam, India.|
