Apratim is studying music in Sarod for over 26 years and still continuing uninterruptedly.Initially he was tutored Late Prof. Rabin Ghosh, disciple of Ut. Alauddin Khan.
He also received training from Shree Partho Sarothy, disciple of Ustad Dhyanesh

He also received training from Shree Partho Sarothy, disciple of Ustad Dhyanesh Khan and Pandit Ravi Shankar. Presently he is under training of Dr. Pradip Kumar Chakraborty, one of the senior most disciples of Pandit Ravi Shankar. Sarod virtuoso Apratim is considered as the most thinking and creative Sarod player of his generation. He already performed concerts at Music Festivals, Music Conferences and Music Circles and NGOs through out India. He is a “Sangeet Bhaskar” (equivalent to master in Music) from Pracheen Kalakendra,Chandigarh. |
