I am a vocalist of Hindustani Classical Music & i am from Kirana Gharana. Along with classical i also perform Kannada & Marathi Devotional Songs. I am a disciple of Pandit Somanath Mardur, a well known vocalist of his generation.

Pandit Somanath Mardur is the senior disciple of: Padmabhushan Dr.Puttaraj Gavaiji and Padmabhushan Dr.Basavaraj Rajguruji and Padmavibhushan Dr.Mallikarjun Mansurji. Under the able guidance of his father, Kumar has shown the qualities of becoming a promising performing artist. Kumar had an opportunity of learning from Late Dr. Pandit Firoz Dasturji, a great Maestro of Kirana Gharana and the senior most Disciple of Late SAWAI GANDHARVA. Endowed with a melodious voice, he is known for pure and aesthetic presentation of ragas, crystal clear taan patterns and command over laya. Kumar has completed Masters Degree in Music from Karnatak University,Dharwad. He is performing all over the India and abroad enthralling audiences. He is an approved artist through Akashwani and Doordarshan and is performing through them regularly. Successful concerts tour to USA in 2008. Kumar has also performed successfully all around India.
